Player Controls
Once you start playing tips, the Supertip player and the Dashboard Panel give you a set of controls for managing playback and your queue. This article covers the in-player controls, the play queue, hiding and unhiding tips, searching, admin messages, and switching between light and dark mode.
Supertip player controls
Section titled “Supertip player controls”The Supertip player sits at the top of the Creator Dashboard Panel. When you play a tip it is added to the play queue, and the player shows the tip that is currently playing.
The player has these controls:
| Control | What it does |

| Loop | Replays the current tip when it finishes, until you switch it back to play once. |
| Pause / Unpause | Pauses the currently playing voice tip at its current point in the timeline. Selecting Unpause resumes it. |
| Dismiss | Stops the current tip and moves on to the next tip in the play queue. |
You can also pop the player controls out into their own browser window using the pop-out button next to the player — see Panel Screen.
The play queue
Section titled “The play queue”Selecting Play on a tip adds it to the play queue rather than playing it instantly — Supertip plays queued tips through your overlay one at a time. The Playing next display above the panel shows what is queued, and each queued tip has a Remove button if you change your mind.
While a tip is playing, its Play button becomes Skip (for voice tips) or Dismiss (for text and image tips), so you can move past it directly from the queue.
Hiding and unhiding tips
Section titled “Hiding and unhiding tips”You can hide tips so they no longer appear in the Played and Unplayed queues.
To hide a tip, select the Hide button in the tip’s actions. The tip disappears from the queue.
To unhide a tip:
- Open the Filters popover in the filter bar and enable the Hidden flag (“Show tips you have hidden”). Hidden tips reappear in the queue, and an active-filter chip shows that hidden tips are included.
- Select the yellow Unhide button on the tip you want to restore.
Searching for Supertips
Section titled “Searching for Supertips”Use the Search tips box in the filter bar to search your queue as you type — matching tipper names are highlighted in the results. The drop-down next to the search box scopes the search:
- All — search everything at once.
- Message — search tip message text.
- Tipper — search by the tipper’s name.
- Transcript — search the transcripts of voice tips.
Admin messages and announcements
Section titled “Admin messages and announcements”The latest updates and announcements about the Supertip platform are available from the View Admin Message button in the top-right corner of your dashboard. A blue dot on the button means there is an unread announcement.
Light and dark mode
Section titled “Light and dark mode”You can switch your Creator Dashboard between a dark and a light visual layout. Use the toggle switch in the top-right corner of your dashboard to switch between light and dark mode.
