Connecting a Stripe Account

The Payments screen is where you connect or disconnect a Stripe account for your Supertip account. Connecting Stripe is what lets viewers send you voice and text Supertips.

To open your payment settings from the Creator Dashboard, select Settings → Payments.

Connect your Stripe account

To connect an existing Stripe account to your Supertip account:

1. Select your country information for receiving tips from the drop-down list.
2. Select Connect Stripe Account.
3. Stripe prompts you to enter your Stripe login information and verification. Follow the instructions given by Stripe until it returns you to the Supertip Payments screen.
4. Once the process is complete, your Stripe Account ID appears under Payment Processing, and viewers can send you voice and text Supertips.

Platform fees

The Payments screen also shows the fees related to using Supertip. These fees are charged per tip and vary based on the type of tip the viewer purchases.

Note

The base platform fees cannot be changed.

Disconnecting your Stripe account

The Payments screen also lets you disconnect the Stripe account linked to Supertip.

Danger

Disconnecting your Stripe account stops viewers from being able to send you voice and text Supertips until a Stripe account is connected again. Only disconnect Stripe if you intend to stop receiving tips or plan to link a different account.
